about

Just a couple of months after his last outing on the label, esteemed German techno producer Philip Bader returns to Moon Harbour with another two tracks of cultured dancefloor dynamite complete with a remix from Andrea Oliva.

The title track, Crazy, is the sort of thing to slowly work a crowd into a hypnotic state with its reductive brew of sparse drum hits, moody basslines and chilly hi hats. A minute or so in and the thing drops proper with a sing along vocal sample that has plenty of anthem potential as it weaves its way around the wavy groove and rubbery bass. Catchy but classy, it’s sure to be big this summer.

Swissman Andrea Oliva – who has worked with labels like Cadenza, Hive and Be As One in the past – goes for a more liquid and loopy interpretation that ebbs and flows up and down as percussion rolls off the top. The vocal is gone and instead subtle FX and sonic details pepper the groove to keep you locked in place from start to finish.

Finally it’s back to Bader for another original, Loose Talk, which bristles and boils with textured percussion and buried deep bass jostling around each other in a way that makes you want to shake your body in similarly loose fashion. Plenty of deft production touches from rising bell sounds to sandy shakers and another filtered vocal flesh out the backbone of the track and make it all the more infectious as a result.

Fun and functional, this is party starting tech house that knows how to work a dancefloor.
